Programs
Art and nature come together in playful, open-ended programs in a highly supportive environment, sparking curiosity and care for the world around us. Each session invites participants to build and create with natural and repurposed materials through eco-conscious art-making — all while engaging their senses, their imaginations, and their hands.
Wonderwood
Little hands, big curiosity, & repurposed wonders
Ages: 2 – 4 years
Day & time: Tuesdays 10 – 11am
Step into Wonderwood, where mini makers engage with textures, colors, light, and movement using natural and repurposed materials. Sensory bins, nature walks, and tinker trays unfold into open invitations that support children in unearthing and shaping their inherent creativity.
As the same small group meets weekly, activities build on one another, allowing skills, confidence, and comfort to grow over time. Shared materials and familiar faces help form a creative community that lets care for the planet and one another take root.
Maker’s Trail
Where imagination and storytelling blaze new trails
Ages: 4 – 7 years
Day & time: Thursdays 3:30 – 4:30pm
Every splatter tells a story, and every scribble sparks new ideas. Following the Maker's Trail, children with natural and repurposed materials, experiment at discovery tables, and follow their curiosity through collaborative and independent projects. Each activity grows self-efficacy, problem-solving, and big-picture thinking.
This program creates a Montessori-inspired mixed-age environment in which younger makers benefit from seeing older children experiment and explore. Older makers naturally exercise leadership skills, offering inspiration and gentle guidance to littles. This model intentionally fosters teamwork and confidence.

Join us in the garden!
I am incredibly fortunate and deeply grateful to facilitate classes at the beautiful Yawkey House Garden, thanks to the Marathon County Historical Society.
When you register your child(ren) for a class, Calla Terra donates 10% of all class fee proceeds to the Marathon County Historical Society. Not only does your young one’s participation enrich their own creativity, but it also enriches our community by supporting this nationally recognized Wisconsin landmark.
I look forward to hosting you at the garden!
